The Spencer Park Surf Life Saving Club prides itself as a
friendly, family orientated community volunteer
organisation.
Our Mission:
To develop qualified lifeguard members through surf sports in
order to provide a safe beach environment for the benefit of the
public, with an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere.
Our Objective:
To prevent drowning and injury of the public at Spencer Park
beach.
Our Vision:
To be recognised as the best Surf Life Saving Club for its
patrol service, sports programmes, youth development and club
management.
Our Operating Principles:
- Delivering a high quality surf lifeguard patrol service that we
are proud of.
- Having a fun and social club atmosphere created by family
involvement and encouragement, in a safe and supportive
environment.
- Promoting surf sport participation at all levels, without
compromising the first two principles above.
Our Committment to Good Practice:
We are registered with the Charities Commission as a charitable
entity; registration # CC32784
Early 2011, we were accredited with 'Gold'
Clubmark status, awarded by Sport
Canterbury. We are the only Surf Life Saving club in Canterbury
to have achieved this accreditation.
